THERE IS A LOT TO DO!
LebensMittelPunkte require hands-on action. Most of this work is on the ground in our neighborhoods: the distribution of vegetable boxes and rescued food, organizing neighborhood cooking sessions, workshops and other actions for the community… And at the same time, we are working to build up our Berlin-wide network, exchange ideas, and learn how we can best organize ourselves in ways that are both sustainable and scalable. This is only the beginning. We want all of our existing LMP initiatives to grow and become fully ‘finished’ LMPs. What’s more, we are looking forward to welcoming new members from all Berlin districts to start their own LMP initiatives. We want LebensMittelPunkte in every Kiez (the Berlin word for neighborhood)!

START AN LMP-INITIATIVE YOURSELF
We are happy to welcome new members from all across Berlin! Joining the LMP network is simple, and we can support you with all your questions and needs. Contact our project office (See: Project Space) to arrange a first meeting so we can get to know each other.
VOLUNTEER WITH THE LMP SUPPORT TEAM
You are an expert on CSAs, kitchens, food hygiene, etc? You want to work with different LMP initiatives? The support team from our project office is happy to welcome new hands on deck! Just contact the project office (See: Project Space).
HOW YOU CAN GET TO KNOW US BETTER
You want to start by getting to know us better? We recommend the following:
• Drop by different LMP initiatives’ events. We are a colorful and diverse network and every initiative is unique. You can find a Berlin-wide LMP event calendar on our News page. If you want to experience ‘finished’ LebensMittelPunkte, check out events from the following LMPs am Haus der Statisik, Trial & Error, Offenes Wohnzimmer and Baumhaus.
• Sign up for one of the LMP info evenings at the Baumhaus. Our project office organizes these on a regular basis (see the events calendar at News or Baumhaus). We will introduce the concept behind LebensMittelPunkte, explain what we do, and present how we organize ourselves. We will also explain how individuals, groups and organizations can get involved!
